shave and a new book

today is the book party.

and monday, if i'm sane and alive, there'll be a new book site. it's grand and great and will have multiple pages, exerpts, and (this is the best) ordering information, o yes, so if you want to you can buy copies. over the internet. in the snail mail. what you should really do is sign up for the list. what you should really do is go to the site.

this morning, i woke up and it was still dark. when is it going to be light when i wake up again? it's really givin me a jones for some st. john's wart. i didn't know if it still counted for darkness, so i davened at exactly the earliest times, got finished, and cut my hair all off.

yup. no more goldilocks on this boy.

i feel about ten pounds lighter, and my brain has more breathing room.

oh yeah, and i'm not being coherent at all. swell, with a 5-hour reception tonite. and the afterparty. i only hope i don't talk about how i feel about poetry. it's a great way to alienate all the intellectuals, cuz i'm secretly not one.

if you want to talk to me, maybe you should. i'm feeling all weird about this reading thing. i want to freak out but i'm just too adultlike to manage it with any sort of grace.
